Overview
The Toei Arakawa Line (SA) runs from Minowabashi to Waseda over about 12.2 km and 30 stops. Its oldest section opened in 1911 under the Oji Electric Tramway, and the present Arakawa Line was consolidated in 1974; today it is one of only two surviving streetcar lines in Tokyo. Since 2017 it has carried the nickname "Tokyo Sakura Tram", and its pink cars thread through ordinary streets and residential blocks at a pace no subway can match.
Along the route
Setting off from the old shopping arcade and trackside roses of Minowabashi, the tram passes Machiya-ekimae and Arakawa-yuenchimae on its way to Oji-ekimae; just beyond it, Asukayama has been a cherry-blossom spot since the Edo period. Koshinzuka is a short walk from Sugamo's Togenuki Jizo shopping street, and after Otsuka-ekimae and Kishibojimmae the run ends in the student quarter around Waseda.
Why play it
Most of the 30 stop names are plain neighbourhood names ending in -mae or -chome, which makes this a great workout for steady rhythm on long, unglamorous readings — and the most everyday-feeling line in the game.
Line data
Everything below is derived from the station data the game runs on, so it always matches what you actually type on the 東京さくらトラム(都電荒川線) — all 30 stops of it.

How much typing is this?
Typing every station name on this line takes 402 keystrokes, an average of 13.4 per station. The longest name is 東池袋四丁目 (higashi-ikebukuro-yonchome) at 25 keystrokes; the shortest is 小台 (odai) at 4. Those counts come from running each name's kana through the game's own romaji engine, so they are what your fingers actually do — not the length of the printed spelling.
Along the way: 2 names contain a small っ, which doubles the next consonant; 12 contain a small ゃ, ゅ or ょ, where the engine accepts both the Hepburn and Kunrei spellings (sha or sya, shu or syu); and 1 end in ん, whose trailing n folds into whatever comes next rather than standing alone.
