A full loop
The purple Meijo Line (M) connects 28 stations around Nagoya. Kanayama, Sakae, Nagoyajo, Ozone, Nagoya Daigaku and Yagoto all lie on the ring. Choose any starting station and travel 右回り (clockwise) or 左回り (counterclockwise). A complete game types 29 station names: your starting station, the other 27, then your starting station again.
Keep the ring distinct
The line crosses the Higashiyama Line at Sakae and Motoyama. These two interchanges let Route Planner choose the appropriate side of the loop. The Meiko Line toward Nagoya Port is a separate route; its stations are not appended to this challenge. The mascot is a 2000 series train, with a stainless-steel body and purple belt beneath its dark cab windows. The station list uses the current names Nagoyajo, Atsuta Jingu Nishi and Atsuta Jingu Temma-cho.
Long-name practice
総合リハビリセンター(そうごうりはびりせんたー)mixes long vowels with a katakana loanword. ナゴヤドーム前矢田(なごやどーむまえやだ)needs a different long-vowel pattern, while 瑞穂運動場東(みずほうんどうじょうひがし)rewards steady mora-by-mora reading. Shorter names have traps too: 上前津 is かみまえづ, 新瑞橋 is あらたまばし, and 堀田 is ほりた. Try the opposite direction once the names feel familiar to avoid relying on a memorized sequence.
Line data
Everything below is derived from the station data the game runs on, so it always matches what you actually type on the 名城線 — all 28 stops of it.

How much typing is this?
Typing every station name on this line takes 327 keystrokes, an average of 11.7 per station. The longest name is 熱田神宮伝馬町 (atsuta-jingu-temma-cho) at 21 keystrokes; the shortest is 栄 (sakae) at 5. Those counts come from running each name's kana through the game's own romaji engine, so they are what your fingers actually do — not the length of the printed spelling.
Along the way: 1 names contain a small っ, which doubles the next consonant; 7 contain a small ゃ, ゅ or ょ, where the engine accepts both the Hepburn and Kunrei spellings (sha or sya, shu or syu); and 2 end in ん, whose trailing n folds into whatever comes next rather than standing alone.
Where you can change trains
2 of the 28 stations on this line connect to another line in the game. Follow any symbol to that line's guide.
