Overview
The Hanzomon Line (Z) links Shibuya and Oshiage over about 16.8 km with just 14 stations — one of the shortest lines in the Metro network. Its purple color takes its name from Hanzomon, the gate beside the Imperial Palace.
Along the route
The line passes Omotesando, Otemachi, and Kudanshita before reaching Oshiage, home of Tokyo Skytree. Short as it is, through-service onto the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line and Tobu Isesaki Line at either end means its actual reach is far longer than 14 stations suggests.
Why play it
Few stations and a tight pace make it ideal for a quick full run and a shot at a new personal best.

How much typing is this?
Typing every station name on this line takes 149 keystrokes, an average of 10.6 per station. The longest name is 清澄白河 (kiyosumi-shirakawa) at 17 keystrokes; the shortest is 渋谷 (shibuya) at 7. Those counts come from running each name's kana through the game's own romaji engine, so they are what your fingers actually do — not the length of the printed spelling.
Along the way: 1 names contain a small っ, which doubles the next consonant; 4 contain a small ゃ, ゅ or ょ, where the engine accepts both the Hepburn and Kunrei spellings (sha or sya, shu or syu); and 1 end in ん, whose trailing n folds into whatever comes next rather than standing alone.
Where you can change trains

Marked with a star: 渋谷・押上 — the major interchanges, which the maps always label and the game marks with a heavier arrival stamp.
