Planning a park day? Taking the Keiyo Line to Tokyo Disney is the fastest and simplest way to get there by train. The stop you want is Maihama Station, the gateway to Tokyo Disney Resort, and it sits about 15 minutes from Tokyo Station on the JR Keiyo Line. Tokyo Station to Maihama on the Keiyo Line

The route is refreshingly direct. From Tokyo Station, board the JR Keiyo Line heading toward Soga or Kaihin-Makuhari, and ride to Maihama Station. It is roughly a 15-minute trip, and Maihama comes up just a few stops out along the edge of Tokyo Bay.

At Maihama you step off almost at the doorstep of the resort. Tokyo Disneyland is a short walk from the station, and for Tokyo DisneySea you transfer to the Disney Resort Line, the monorail that loops around the resort from the Maihama-side station. That is the whole journey: one train from Tokyo, then the monorail if you need it.

Mind the deep Keiyo Line platforms at Tokyo Station

Here is the tip that saves park mornings: the Keiyo Line platforms at Tokyo Station are nowhere near the shinkansen or Yamanote tracks. They sit far to the south of the main JR concourse, deep underground, and the walk from the central gates can take a solid 10 to 15 minutes through long corridors and moving walkways.

So do not cut it close. If you are transferring to the Keiyo Line — especially with kids, strollers, and Disney luggage in tow — leave the main concourse early, follow the "Keiyo Line / 京葉線" signs the moment you see them, and do not panic when the corridor seems endless. Everyone walks it; budget the extra time and you will roll into Maihama relaxed.

Some Musashino Line trains also stop at Maihama

Maihama is not served by the Keiyo Line alone. Some Musashino Line trains through-run onto the Keiyo tracks and stop at Maihama too, which gives riders coming from inland Chiba and Saitama a one-seat option toward the parks. If you are starting from Tokyo Station, though, the plain Keiyo Line service is all you need — just check the destination board so you board a train that actually stops at Maihama rather than running express past it.

How to get to Tokyo Disney by train, in short

  • Start at Tokyo Station and find the deep Keiyo Line platforms (allow 10-15 minutes to walk there).
  • Ride the JR Keiyo Line about 15 minutes to Maihama Station.
