Overview
The Saikyo Line (JA) links Osaki in southern Tokyo with Kawagoe in Saitama across 24 stations — in practice a single through service combining the Saikyo Line proper with the Kawagoe Line beyond Omiya. Emerald green is its identity colour, an image cemented in the 205 series era. It also through-runs onto the Rinkai Line, tying Shin-Kiba directly to Saitama.
Along the route
From Osaki it takes in Ebisu, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Ikebukuro — all four of the Yamanote's western megahubs in a row, and with the express-like feel of skipping everything in between. North of Akabane it crosses into Saitama for Toda-koen, Musashi-urawa and Omiya, ending at Kawagoe, the "Little Edo" of preserved clay-walled merchant streets.
Why play it
The first half is nothing but household-name stations; the second half throws up trip-ups like Kita-akabane and Ukima-funado. That easy-then-hard curve makes it a good test of how fast you react to names you don't already know by heart.
Line data
Everything below is derived from the station data the game runs on, so it always matches what you actually type on the 埼京線 — all 24 stops of it.

How much typing is this?
Typing every station name on this line takes 204 keystrokes, an average of 8.5 per station. The longest name is 武蔵浦和 (musashi-urawa) at 12 keystrokes; the shortest is 戸田 (toda) at 4. Those counts come from running each name's kana through the game's own romaji engine, so they are what your fingers actually do — not the length of the printed spelling.
Along the way: 1 names contain a small っ, which doubles the next consonant; 2 contain a small ゃ, ゅ or ょ, where the engine accepts both the Hepburn and Kunrei spellings (sha or sya, shu or syu); and 2 end in ん, whose trailing n folds into whatever comes next rather than standing alone.

Marked with a star: 渋谷・新宿・池袋 — the major interchanges, which the maps always label and the game marks with a heavier arrival stamp.
